One of the first British SculpSure patients was featured in the Mail On Sunday and Mail Online. Lise Hillhorst had the SculpSure treatment on her stomach and upper abdomen at the PHI Clinic six weeks ago. She has since lost 3 inches from her waistline, and gone from a dress size 14 to a 12. Lise says,”I’m thrilled with the result and want to have treatment in other areas on my inner thighs which my diet and fitness regime don’t seem to be able to get rid of.”

The article goes on to talk about the SculpSure treatment, which is the first procedure to use laser energy to de-bulk the midriff, back, thighs or even areas such as knees and underarms, and all without a single incision or injection. The device, also known as a hyperthermic laser, has been shown to be a safe and effective way of raising the localised temperature of tissue being treated to between 42C and 47C, at which fat cells break down without damaging the skin muscle beneath.

Experts claim that just a single 25-minute sessions is needed to produce significant results, compared with up to two hours or more with cryolipolysis. Dr Tapan Patel of the Phi Clinic says,”No one machine can do everything. CoolSculpting is effective but patients fine it uncomfortable during or after. SculpSure seems to be better tolerated and cause even fewer side effects. It gives us another option that will work for patients looking to shift small, stubborn areas of fat that have proved resistant to diet and exercise.”
