Dr Elizabeth Raymond Brown

Elizabeth is a qualified teacher, and was Head of Lasers at Loughborough College. Authored the internationally recognised BTEC and laser safety management qualifications, and helped develop national occupational training standards in medical and aesthetic laser and light based therapies. Elizabeth moved into the private training sector in 2003, and provides training and laser safety support for non-surgical cosmetic clinics. She is a consultant for Medical & Aesthetic Training Academy (MATA), and responsible for new vocational qualifications in non-surgical interventions, including laser and light based therapies.

The Core Of Knowledge course provides the basic knowledge component for staff that work directly of indirectly with lasers and light-based devices. The course gives a broad overview of the principles of laser and light, laser safety and optical radiation safety. The course is in line with the guidelines set out by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency. This course is suitable for all Healthcare providers, Beauty Therapists and Clinic owners.
