Product Marketing Manager Job # 051-14
Location: Westford, MA

Job Purpose:  Develop marketing strategies and execute tactics for domestic markets (and international markets in conjunction with Global Market Managers) to meet corporate sales objectives for one (or more) of Cynosure’s flagship aesthetic workstations.

Key Results Area: 

  • Drive the development of all downstream hard copy and internet marketing collateral – ads, literature, technical papers, videos, email blasts, website content
  • Prepare extensive launch packages for effective promotion of new products
  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate sales and promotional programs to determine their success
  • Drive acquisition of competitor product knowledge and effectively communicate through our sales force a through understanding of how to position Cynosure against competitors
  • Serve as product trainer for global sales force
  • Interface with global sales teams, R & D, Engineering and other departments to serve as Product Marketing representative on upstream Project Management teams for both new products and enhancement to sustaining products.
  • Work directly with key customers/luminaries to cultivate relationships within the medical community and monitor clinical sites/clinical research to help obtain data, and cultivate relationships in order to achieve product goals
  • Identify trends throughout the medical marketplace, especially, but not limited to laser
  • Identify existing market demand and explore and develop new way to create demand through sales lead generation.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor
  • Approximately 30% travel is required

Critical Competencies: 

  • Develop and manage content and collateral including sales tools, presentations, collateral material, KOL relationships and competitive write-ups
  • Provide direction for sales training

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Level of Education:

  • BS or BA in Marketing or technical-related field or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in product marketing, sales or sales management.
  • Experience in laser/aesthetic market is a plus

Physical Requirements/ADA:

  • May require lifting/pushing of laser machines at tradeshows/workshops/customer sites
  • Requires use of automobile for customer visits
  • Requires occasional presence in OR (appropriate vaccinations required) and possible handling of chemical waste

May require standing for prolonged period of time (up to 8 hours) at tradeshows

Trade Show Specialist Job # 050-14
Location: Westford, MA

Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, hardworking professional with excellent communication skills to successfully manage and execute trade shows and special events annually; plan and execute all tradeshows on a national level; work with Events Manager to develop show/event strategies, reflective of sales and marketing goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate activities within the Marketing department focusing on tradeshow coordination, planning, execution and support to the Marketing department.

EDUCATION:            Bachelor’s degree required

EXPERIENCE:          3 to 5 years experience in marketing and events or related field                   

PERSONAL:              Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Highly organized and possesses good interpersonal skills.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as project manager to coordinate and execute all domestic tradeshows and events throughout the year
  • Responsible for coordinating and excuting approximaely 50-60 tradeshows per year
  • Coordinate all tradeshow logistics: Management of graphics, booth, inventory/refurbishment; assignment of booth coverage with sales reps, set-up space assignment, hotels, badges; ordering electrical, furniture, flowers, carpeting, and lead retrievals; arranging for drayage, shipments, and literature
  • Manage and execute tradeshow promotional plans intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads. This will include developing objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of marketing events
  • Work with the product marketing team to optimize event and associated campaign effectiveness
  • Negotiate agreements with outside special events service providers and subcontractors to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service
  • Help mange tradeshow budget with tracking and forecasting for each show. Involvement with selection and budgeting of tradeshows for the new fiscal year
  • Maintain booth and trade show material inventory by tracking usage and projecting future requirements
  • Organize and direct the preparation, formatting, copying and distribution of all materials developed for trade shows (summary logistics memos, communication updates, hotel reservations, tradeshow procedures, ASM reports, literature and other materials deemed necessary)
  • Help plan and organize logistics for North American sales meetings including travel, meeting space, audio/visual needs, material distribution, and entertainment
  • Plan and execute two advanced symposium workshops
  • 25 % travel is required

Job Purpose: 

The Global Marketing Manager is responsible for maximizing Cynosure’s international market share and profits.  This position coordinates with international business centers in the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans, sales training, key opinion leader development and new product opportunity and assessment.

Key Results Area:

  • Leads and collaborates with cross-functional business partners globally to develop and execute marketing programs consistent with Cynosure brands.  These programs will support sales objectives in each of Cynosure’s key markets including Europe, Middle East, South America and Asia Pacific.
  • Working with management, sales teams, external clients and third-party vendors, creates and oversees the implementation of marketing plans for marketing campaigns, product positioning, value-added programs, and the exploration of new markets.  Monitors and makes recommendations for budgets and costs associated with plan implementation.
  • Drives analysis of marketing initiatives in terms of segmenting audience, evaluating target markets and optimal positioning.  Establishes and reviews metrics for promotional activities and campaigns.
  • Participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of sales/marketing plans with subsidiaries and distributors.
  • Develops marketing concepts and strategies by benchmarking against other organizations and understanding what is taking place in the global marketplace.
  • Contributes to the development of the global strategy and other initiatives in collaboration with the Marketing Department and cross-functional business partners.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand markets and audiences.
  • Coordinate and execute all international congresses, sales trainings, and corporate sponsored workshops and events.
  • In collaboration with Field Marketing Specialist, provides product marketing and sales support to Subsidiaries and International Distributors.
